    Hi Max,

I really appreciate the demos and step by step instructions. I noticed that in the step by step of the unrooting the “su” step was missing (was clearly covered in the video)

    Thanks again!!

This website is great, but it never really states what rooting is or what the benefits of rooting are…

Could you please add those descriptions/ definitions to your about page?

    Hi Max,

Thanks for the instructions. Seemed to get it done, and I have super user loaded. I like in the UK so I’m not able to load and apps so I can’t go the next step and load android market because I need to get Go Launcher or any other explorer off the Amazon App store, which I can’t access outside of the USA, and I also don’t have a US credit card. Is there any other way of sideloading Go Launcher, OR even ES Explorer so I can sideload other apps? I was thinking of rerooting and simply placing the required .apk file in the KindleFIreRootMacLinux file together with the superuser.apk file, and see if it might load this apk file too??

hello, noob here, i attempted to root and install a custom recovery on my kindle fire hd 7″. i followed instructions, but somehow screwed up. root checker says, root access is not operating properly. it shows superuser app was installed, and superuser binary files are installed. i was not able to install TWRP. ive read else where to reinstall superuser using custom recovery. but i cannot install custom recovery with out being rooted. any help or directions would be much appreciated
